The Stellantis plant in Tychy, Poland, has just completed production of vehicle number 12,500,000. The gorgeous two-tone Fiat 500 Dolcevita, fitted with a state-of-the-art hybrid propulsion system, will be shipped to a customer in Belgium.

Tychy plant personnel have a tradition of celebrating and rewarding the cars that come right before and after the anniversary car to show their appreciation. Vehicle number 12,499,999 was awarded to a sophisticated Lancia Ypsilon hybrid bound for the Italian market. In contrast, vehicle number 12,501,000 was awarded to a spirited and sporty Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally headed for Germany.

"We owe it all to the legendary Fiat 500, which has helped us set numerous records. The staggering number of 12.5 million units produced at our plant is directly attributable to this approach, said Tomasz Gbka, Director of the Stellantis plant in Tychy. We're very pleased that our Fiat 500 also leads sales among small city cars in Poland, which has been a popular option for many years and is now one of the most popular vehicles in Europe."

The Fiat 500, a best-seller for over a decade and a half, is mainly responsible for this achievement. Fiat 500 is currently the sector A leader in France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and ten other European markets, and ranks second in Italy and Europe, behind the Fiat Panda.

The new Jeep Avenger, the first fully electric SUV from Jeep and the first electric car made in Poland for the mainstream market, will soon enter production at the Tychy facility.
